Beginner Hydroponic Workshop in Ainaloa Hawai’i

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $100 per participant
Optional Take-Home Kit: $50 (includes bin system, net pots, seedlings, nutrients, and instructions) Note: Kits must be pre-ordered to ensure availability.

Workshop Overview:

Experience the simplicity and efficiency of Kratky hydroponics at our hands-on workshop, hosted right on our working farm. This interactive session invites you into our world, offering practical skills and a memorable time of learning. You'll explore the fundamentals of soilless cultivation, from assembling hydroponic systems to understanding nutrient solutions and plant care. Whether you're a curious beginner or an aspiring grower, you'll learn how small setups can evolve into larger-scale operations.

  • Seed to Harvest: Learn the essentials of germination, seedling development, and integrating plants into hydroponic systems.

  • DIY System Building: Hands-on experience with power tools to create custom hydroponic setups and understand reservoir importance.

  • Pest & Safety Management: Identify common pests like slugs and insects that can harm your plants. Learn about rat lungworm disease, its risks, and how to create safety barriers to protect your produce and yourself.

  • Sustainable Growing: Discover how to recycle growing media and cultivate perennials and a variety of other vegetables without the need for greenhouses.
